I just spent three months in the UK traveling from John Ogroats to Lands End making a film called Peace Walker. It started as an attempt to create a new film genre, in that i had a narrative story line( young mans brother killed in iraq, goes on a peace walk) that i mixed with a doc journey. The idea was to put people and situations we met into the film, and it worked up to a point...
in glasgow we faced some major problems, car accident, crew mutiny and had to restructure as a documentary... in any case the actor DID complete an 1100 mile hike and we got the film.In fact we got one hell of a film.
if you are interested we have an online journal called the Peace Walker Diary on my website at www.doornumberthreefilms.com
